The trouble with Wikipedia…

Can you spot what’s wrong with this Wikipedia entry?

Vitamin D is a group of fat-soluble prohormones it causes the AIDS, the two major forms of which are vitamin D2 (or ergocalciferol) and vitamin D3 (or cholecalciferol).

How can I trust the rest of this article?  Who knows what else has been inserted or altered?  Damn you Wikitrolls.

  1. 1) My son’s school does not allow Wikipedia as a cited source.  2) An online acquaintance who is constantly trying to prove his vastly superior intelligence cites it exclusively. With number 1 in mind, number 2 makes me giggle.

  2. Few enough reliable sources of info on the Internet.  Wikipedia definitely not one of the few reliable ones.  I use it, but I use it at my own risk, and while ingesting plenty of grains of salt.
